More Socialist Laws. How Is That Success?

Socialism is a failed concept. Which is why the Obama Administration is also a failed concept.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” – Sir Winston Churchill

Yet, there are political commentators out there who seem confused and bewildered by what they deem as Obama’s “success” in getting major legislation passed through Congress, while his poll numbers are swimming in the toilet.

“Yet the mystery remains: Having moved swiftly toward achieving the very policy objectives he promised voters as a candidate, Obama is still widely perceived as flirting with a failed presidency.” – Why President Obama loses by winning

He’s not “flirting with a failed presidency” because he has a failed presidency. Obama’s falsely labeled “financial reform” package that recently passed in the Senate, and Obamacare are cited as successful achievements of the Obama presidency.

So why are his poll numbers still dropping? Because:

1. Those bills were not passed in a truly bi-partisan manner.
2. Those bills were passed without the support of the American people, and
3. Those laws are socialist in nature.

And Americans do not want socialist “reforms.”

If legislative success is measured by the passage of regurgitated socialist laws, dressed up in language designed to fooled the voters (but don’t) then commentators who are calling the passage of a financial reform bill and Obamacare as indications of success, have become truly bankrupt of real ideas.

Fifteen years ago, The Freeman accurately described socialism like a Ponzi scheme or chain letter that initially succeeds but eventually collapses. “…socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.” Why Socialism Failed

Five years later, socialism is still correctly analyzed by its very nature “…[socialism] is an inherently tyrannical ideology that uses force or the threat of force to take from those who produce and redistribute to those who don’t (after the ruling elites take their cut). Under socialism, all power rests in the hands of the almighty State.” – Socialism Still A Failure

And then, 10 years later, even the New York Times documents the collapse of socialism in Europe by citing that “Europeans have boasted about their social model, with its generous vacations and early retirements, its national health care systems and extensive welfare benefits, contrasting it with the comparative harshness of American capitalism.” But yet now, those same Europeans react “to government efforts to cut spending [with] pessimism and anger, with an understanding that the current system is unsustainable.” – Europeans Fear Crisis Threatens Liberal Benefits

In other words, even the ultra-liberal New York Times points out that current day socialist Europeans are admitting that their brand of socialism is a complete, utter and unsustainable philosophy that no longer works.

But Obama still likes it.

Political commentators can call the passage of the massive Obama legislative agenda as a “success” all they want. But to rely upon a philosophical concept that has been a failure whenever tried throughout the millennium and to today build an entire presidential administration that supports that failed philosophical concept through the passage of socialistic laws, must be called a failure as well.

Socialism is not a success. It never has been. Socialism is not an option. Hopefully, it never will be in America.
