What House Spams Voters on Health Care

According to abuse.net: “Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.”

OK. Simple enough. Then that makes the White House a spammer. Here is why:

Yesterday, Senior White House Advisor, David Exelrod, sent unsolicited emails to a list the White House apparantly maintains asking supporters of health care reform to forward the Administrations support of the issue to those that don’t support the issue.

Trouble is, no one asked to be on the email list and no one asked to receive such an email.

But some people who received the e-mails directly from the White House forwarded them to FOX News and asked how they ended up on the list when they’ve never been in communication with the Obama administration. Some wondered if visiting the White House Web site automatically places them on an e-mail distribution list.” Fox News: Unsolicited E-Mail on Health Care

And no matter how the White House spins this one, it is spam.
