Conservatives Must Re-think Afghan War

Former United States Senator, conservative and American patriot, Fred Thompson had this to say only yesterday about the Afghan War:

“It really doesn’t matter how President Obama divides the Afghan baby, how he splits the difference between McChrystal and Biden. Because the war has been lost. I say this because of one sad and simple fact. The president does not have the will and determination to do what’s necessary to win it. His heart’s not in it, and never has been. The Taliban knows it. Al Qaeda knows it. Our allies know it. And the American people know it.

“Our enemies are now emboldened and our friends are discouraged. We cannot prevail if the American people are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary for an extended effort. The case has not been made to them to justify this effort. The case can only be made by the president. This president is unable or unwilling to make that case.” Fred Thompson: Afghan war ‘has been lost’

Nothing, and I mean nothing, the President does now is going to make one wit of difference in the Afghan war.

As more and more Americans are beginning to understand that President Obama is a radical socialist, they are only now beginning to realize the truth about Obama’s true feelings on the war in Afghanistan and more specifically, the War on Terror.

- He’s declared that there is no more War on Terror.
- He refuses to call the Fort Hood Massacre anything other than just that instead of calling it for what it really is, a terrorist attack upon American soil.
- He wants the masterminds of the 9/11 attacks treated as Americans, with rights only given to Americans, by giving them a civilian trial as if they were criminals who stole a car.

Wake up conservatives. Wake up America. When are you going to start to realize what Senator Thompson is now saying?

When Tessler first wrote about the President’s absolute lack of will to fight the terrorists in Afghanastan (or anywhere else for that matter) I was roundly criticized for such thinking from my own conservative compatriots. But it is time for them to re-think their position in light of the ever-revealing attitudes from Barack Hussein Obama.

On September 1, 2009, I wrote, in commenting upon the Afghan War: “Brave men and women should not die because Obama cannot lead; because Obama does not believe.” Pull Out of Afghanistan

“Fight the war like an American, Mr. President, or get the hell out.”
September 22, 2009: A Slow Bleed

“Obama doesn’t want to be in Afghanistan. He doesn’t want to fight the Taliban. He doesn’t want to fight al-Qaeda. He doesn’t want to fight radical Muslims. He wants out.”
October 7, 2009: A War Obama Won’t Fight

“Mr. President, you have failed to ….. give us all what your sense of direction is for the Afghanistan war.”
October 30, 2009: Obama Waits; Soldiers Die – A Slow Bleed (Revisited)

I agree with Mr. Thompson when he told the President on his radio show to take his time in deciding about the troop increase in Afghanistan. “Unless you [Mr. President] have a total change of heart and mind, it really doesn’t make any difference.”

You, Barack Hussein Obama:

- don’t want to fight terrorists
- don’t want to call them terrorists, and
- you are losing the War on Terror.

And conservatives better get used to those facts and get used to them now.
